Position: Senior Cognos BI Developer* Location : Chicago,IL Duration: 6 months Rate: $50 max NO H1B's. Responsible for supervising the planning and development of programming activities, applications systems, and requirements standards Qualifications - Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or Business - Minimum of 5 years hands-on experience in development of BI applications, analysis, or reports using IBM Cognos 8 Report Studio, Query Studio and Framework Manager model. - Minimum of 5 years of experience with implementation and support life cycles (SDLC) with major BI solutions and platforms. - Minimum of 5 years working experience using SQL, ETL and Data Warehousing tools - Experience with Cognos 8 or 10 BI. - Experience with BI/Data Reporting tools and concepts - Experience with relational databases preferably Oracle. - Experience supervising small teams of developers and quality assurance analysts - Experience planning and managing multiple complex development projects in a fast-paced environment - Exposure to remote or off shore development - Experience in working with SQL, database technologies, and data retrieval concepts - Knowledge of HTML and web technologies - Understanding of systems development or project management/delivery life cycle method - Experience in Healthcare data processing - Experience in working with Clinical & Administrative Healthcare Data - Hospital Information System domain knowledge - Manages personnel to ensure the development and implementation of systems applications programs are on time and within budgets - Develops short- and long-term applications systems plans that are consistent with the needs and priorities of the business - Develops new reports and maintain/enhance existing reporting solutions; - Author and support BI reports using Cognos 8 BI Report and Query Studios - Assist Cognos and Database !
