Retail experience is a plus Cisco Advanced Services seeks a Network Consulting Engineer with a base technical knowledge in core network infrastructure (routing and switching). The ideal candidate will also have a strong secondary skill set, preferably in datacenter compute. In this role, you will be part of the Pacific Northwest Delivery team to plan, build, and help operate internetworking solutions for customers. Your focus on delivery excellence with a solution-oriented and services-led approach is targeted on positive business outcomes for Cisco's customers. Over time, as your interests grow and the business demands change, your focus will evolve and grow to support additional technologies, solutions, and services. You must be able to lead efforts to produce business justifications, capture solution requirements, produce customer-specific solutions, plan and implement solutions for customers, and provide change management recommendations. You must be able to lead transactional projects throughout the full lifecycle of service delivery including the planning, design, implementation, and optimization phases. You must be able to support other technologies as required to successfully complete customer projects. Projects may include security, collaboration (voice, video, Cisco Telepresence, instant messaging, desktop sharing, etc.), and data center & cloud solutions. Consultative ability and technical skills to establish trusted advisor status from an engineer to an executive level is required. Your subsequent years will have the same demands with a shift in the technologies and services as your interest and business demands. Advanced consulting services to assist customers with creating effective IT governance, risk management and compliance programs may be required. In this role, you will be required to travel up to 50% domestically (including Alaska and Hawaii). International travel opportunities may present themselves but are not required of this role.
