4+ month contract position Location: West Allis, WI Duties: Responsible for ensuring corporate information needs are met through quality database designs, techniques and practices. Provides technical guidance and leadership to the database administrators in the organization. Primary duties to include, but are not limited to: Establishes corporate standards for disaster recovery, data retention and database security and monitors industry standards. Performs project management tasks, including estimation, status reports and scope management. Determines database requirements for projects and ensures that new systems comply with database strategies. Provides implementation and ongoing support. Translates detailed design into physical database structures and performs database testing. Demonstrates a mastery of cutting edge technologies to leverage when making strategic decisions. Strategic thinking and ability to prioritize tasks to meet the business needs required. Excellent written, oral and interpersonal communication skills required. Candidate requires a strong knowledge of databases and working back end processes including scripting. Must have solid customer service and communication skills. Will be working access requests more than working to maintain databases.
