*Title: Network Engineer* *Location: Tallahassee, FL* *Duration: 6 Months* *MOI: Phone + F2F* *Need Locals only* *Purpose:* The FDOT Enterprise Communication Office will select a *WAN/LAN* *Networking, VOIP and Wireless Consultant* that provides the *best overall value* to the State, *based on skill-set and rate*. Please ensure that your candidate meets all of the required KSAs. Please do not submit candidates who cannot meet these expectations. *Anyone selected for an interview, will be required to interview in person* at the FDOT offices in the Burns Building Tallahassee, FL. This resource will primarily be tasked with performing *WAN/LAN* *Networking, VOIP and Wireless access support *activities for FDOT including, but not limited to the following: 1. Support and expand FDOT infrastructure. 2. Coordinate switch, router, WAP and VOIP configuration and administration with multiple parties (SSRC, DMS MFN, FDOT, and contractors). 3. Troubleshoot end user (FDOT and the general public) issues. 4. Make recommendations for future wireless, LAN/WAN, Video, server, and software upgrades. 5. Monitor networks and VOIP communications to ensure security, availability and performance. *SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, ABILITIES: (Must complete!!!)* *Must have a good working understanding of * *# Years Experience / Remarks* 1. VOIP systems and Server 2008 and 2012. 1. Network communications, including TCP/IP, DHCP and DNS. 1. Wireless Access Points and Video Conferencing. 1. Knowledge of Unify Voice Platform and Polycom Video Conferencing environment is a plus. 1. The candidates considered for this position must be capable of independent work success, have good communication skills, and disciplined to follow FDOT processes and procedures. 1.
