Java Development exp.)*

*Note:*
Client needs someone that has written Java test code, and
done API testing and/or testing of REST or Soap services.
* Responsibilities:*
The Software Quality Engineer will enable the Service Platform Operations
team to integrate, validate, and support services and applications on the
PlayStation Network. Responsibilities include:
- Execute tests (automated and manual), identify and exploit issues,
track test progress and defects
- Ensure that products meet or exceed quality standards set forth by the
team
- Drive problem resolution efforts and communicate effectively with
developers, operations teams and other stakeholders to ensure timely and
effective resolution
- Develop automated functional tests in Cucumber-Java for Web
Applications and APIs
- Improve the continuous integration/delivery set of tools, including
Jenkins
- Actively participate and/or commit in the execution of tasks required
to meet the milestones and deliverables set by the SCRUM team throughout
the release cycle
- Research and document unknown/legacy systems
*Qualifications*
A minimum of 3 years software testing of multi-tiered and distributed
systems, executing and developing UI and API automated tests. Candidate
must possess the following:
- Four-year technical degree or equivalent work experience
- 3 years recent experience as software quality engineer
- Strong technical and analytical skills
- Able to work well independently and collaborating with team
- Experience developing *acceptance/functional automated tests for UI
using WebDriver and/or APIs using Java, prefer Cucumber-jvm*
- Experience with *configuration management/version control applications
e.g. Perforce, Git*
- Experience building acceptance/functional automated tests for web
applications using *Selenium WebDriver* or other *Java based* frameworks
- Experience with troubleshooting tools and analyzing logs using
common *UNIX/Linux
utilities*
- Deep understanding and/or experience of internet technologies
(HTTP/HTTPs, DNS, TCP/IP) and highly complex multi-tiered systems
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
