If you have a matching profile, please send me the updated resume along with contact details at the earliest. *Job Title* SAS Grid Administrator *Project Location* Chicago IL *Duration* 8 months /Contract * Skills Required and Job Description:* *MOI::T+S* Experience with administration and tuning for SAS Grid Manager/SAS Platform Experience with Linux (RHEL 7) Expertise in setup of queues, prioritization, manage jobs and thresholds Experience with troubleshooting and configuration of SAS Grid environment/components Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. A SAS Grid Administrator needs to be a SAS Administrator plus a Systems Administrator to some extent. Experience • Implementing, administering and supporting SAS Grid and / or other Enterprise SAS Products / other Analytics products. This includes SAS IML, ETS, QC, Enterprise Miner, SAS ACCESS for Oracle, SQL Server, PC Files, and Hadoop (desirable) • SAS Grid functionality - load balancing, resource management, setup of queues, prioritization, manage jobs and thresholds • Monitoring and troubleshooting SAS services • Installing and configuring SAS software, implementing hotfixes software patches and licenses – server and desktop based components • Troubleshooting SAS environments • SAS Metadata Management – user management, defining libraries, setting permissions and access controls, creating metadata folder structures • Backup and restore strategies • Security and Authentication (related to the access of source data within SAS on the SAS servers across the different business organizations as well as SAS’ integration with tools such as Active Directory • Implementing security, governance processes for SAS products • Unix/Linux Shell Scripting LSF Administration. Integration with enterprise Control-M scheduling system. Experience with R (desirable) • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills • Must be able to work independently; proactively brings recommendations and solutions • Has gone through at least one full implementation cycle and supported SAS Grid post-install (at least 6 months) • Preferably experience implementing SAS Grid for a Financial Services (banking) organization ; plus if for Risk or Finance modeling groups. Able to assist with modifying SAS code to leverage SAS Grid process capabilities to reduce run times and improve throughput. Responsibilities for SAS Grid Manager administration and Platform LSF administration are as follows: • Define queues, prioritization, and pre-emption • Manage jobs • Add machines to SAS Grid Manager infrastructure • Set and modify thresholds • Configure High Availability • Apply LSF patches • Configure fairshare scheduling • Define resources • Update LSF license • Work with local administrators and application team to diagnose and address performance issues • Act as a liaison for all SAS software users with SAS Technical Support.
