Yes. You can update the main core libs of GNOME to GNOME 2.26.0 (before you get 
to far into things) without building all of GNOME for now.

Mainly, just update glib2 to v2.20.0. That is it. Have Chad Harp update to
glib2 2.20.0. Then, upload your updates from there.
