Hi,

the real cause for the downtime was bldcat:

Inspecting ./gcc4g++-4.3.3,REV=2009.03.31-SunOS5.8-sparc-CSW.pkg.gz
Use of uninitialized value in concatenation (.) or string at /opt/ csw/bin/bldcat line 81. Use of uninitialized value in concatenation (.) or string at /opt/ csw/bin/bldcat line 81. Can't open /tmp/bldcat.1301.1238588867//pkginfo: No such file or directory at /opt/csw/bin/bldcat line 81.

/tmp was filled with old stuff. There should be a number of changes
to bldcat. Peter:

- change string from \s+ to [^-]+
- install trap handler so that all temporary files are cleaned up on
  exit, regardless why.

Until this is fixed I disabled catalog generation. I'll look that up as
soon as I can. There are still a number of patches running in. Please
stand by.

Best regards
