not really. our local unix users' group speculated oracle was the next one
in line, as soon as the IBM deal dropped out :-)
I was betting buzz around IBM buying Sun was just a diversionary movement.
and it's a much better fit than IBM.
on the darker side, oracle now "owns" both berkeleydb and mysql.
And glassfish... they baught BEA (thus Weblogic) last year.
