hi folks, I'm planning to do a long planned, and also long overdue update to cswpreserveconf. I'd like it to support copying the sample conf files from (whereever they are) to (whatever dir is specified)
at the moment, I'm liking the magic string "CSWDESTDIR=/path/here" if that kind of string is doing anywhere in the file to be copied, it will copy to that directory instead of the same directory the file is in. This allows for sample conf files to be shipped in /opt/csw/etc (or even elsewhere such as /opt/csw/share/doc/???) but then be deployed to /etc/opt/csw this would make the lives of admins easier in the situation of shared /opt/csw mentioned, yet still preserve the twofold nice handling of - automated removals of default files - automated preservation if the config files are altered by the site admin any comments or questions? _______________________________________________ maintainers mailing list [email protected] https://lists.opencsw.org/mailman/listinfo/maintainers .:: This mailing list's archive is public. ::.
