Excerpts from James Lee's message of Fri Oct 01 09:52:41 -0400 2010: Hi James,
Thanks for this info. I need to twiddle the prototype a bit here to that httpd-mpm.conf isn't delivered in the package at all. > 1 f none /opt/csw/apache2/etc/extra/httpd-mpm.conf 0644 root bin 3796 > 55204 1285813590 > 1 f none /opt/csw/apache2/etc/extra/httpd-mpm.conf.CSW 0644 root bin 3529 > 32227 1285813620 > > and I assume it should use class cswcpsampleconf No, not yet. It will eventually, but I need to do a whole bunch of stuff with the etc/ for apache and I don't want to do that with this update. > > Hmm. That's a problem indeed. I'll have to think about this one. > > I'm playing being ignorant of how to use alternatives (very easy > because it's true) and letting update do its thing. My expectation > is that it is left in the same mode after update as before. Maybe a > new worker package can do the alternatives thing for me. This is likely what I'll have to do. Re-instate the dummy CSWap2worker package that does nothing but run a postinstall script that drives a call to alternatives --set. I'll need an updated CSWalternatives first though, as the current implementation of --set is broken (bug filed yesterday). I'll ensure there is a message noted about using alternatives to toggle the mpm.
