That brings up a side issue.

the url may be svn-friendly. but its not really WEB friendly.
(it is an INVALID url, if you just drop it into your browser!)

Any user-friendly web display, in my opinion, should first give a
web-browsable url. and then if appropriate, mention something like,
"oh and if you want to use svn to check out the specific revision, use
  svn co  [url-here]"
