By the way, if anyone thinks that I'm hindering progress, please let me know! In my mind, I'm just making sure that we have a good migration path for our users. I strongly support a plan of transitioning to 2.7 and killing off 2.6. I just think that we cannot jump from 2.6 to 2.7 without a period of time when both interpreters work roughly equally well. This will allow our users to migrate. Then we kill 2.6.
