Hello Maintainers,
I heard unfavorable opinions about /opt/csw/gxx. Our general direction
is to switch to GCC and build C++ libraries into /opt/csw. Boost is one
of the biggest C++ libraries we have. Do we want to move it to /opt/csw?
I see there is a libpcre.so there, wouldn't that conflict?
I'm glad of the move to GCC, but I'm reluctant to do it in a way that
would be a problem for people who need to build stuff with Studio,
whether fully in OpenCSW or not.
I was trying to build MySQL 5.7, which uses boost, and apparently it
could pick it up in its current location (albeit not use it, too old).
So I'd keep it that way unless there's a significant issue (ie, not «it
doesn't look cool»).
