no striking idea.. but apart from what I already asked, git git-related
updates, here some ideas.
1) Unstable9x? I got problems there too
2) can you reproduce this git problem in a minimal repo and try this on
the NFS and then a physical filesystem?
Just to rule out and confirm some hypotheses that are flying around.
