The John T. Jackson Memorial Team Race Regatta is named in honor of John T. Jackson '03 a member of the Georgetown University Sailing Team who passed away in a tragic accident in Chicago only months after he graduated from Georgetown. Many family, friends and teammates of John return each year for his regatta. John's parents Dr. and Mrs. Jackson addressed the teams at the skippers meeting and watched the races. Saturday - 63 races completed with NW wind 15-25mph with higher gusts. Course was a Starboard N that was between 8-10 minutes. 7 protests were heard by judges Ken Ward (Gtown '02) and Alex Holtan (Gtown '02). There were a few breakdowns including a severely bent mast.
