The Massachusetts Bay League, the coalition of high school sailing teams in the
greater Boston, MA, area, will be celebrating their 30th anniversary this
coming spring. As part of this celebration, we are interested in hearing from
people that sailed within the League while they were in high school.

While most of our student-sailors have sailed without much fanfare, some have
been quite successful in high school and have gone onto further success in
college and beyond. A few of our alumni have become All-Americans in college or
have won National Championships. We share the pride of their accomplishments
since they got their start within the League.

All of our student-sailors, well over a thousand, have developed skills that
will
last them a lifetime. The teamwork, independence, self-reliance,
self-confidence, responsibilty, integrity, and sportsmanship learned while
sailing has had an impact in their lives as students and later as adults. That
so many young people
have benefitted so is probably the most significant accomplishment of the
League.

To all of our alumni, we would like to hear from you.
Tell us about your experiences in the League and how that has affected you.
Let us know what you are doing now both as a sailor and professionally.
Let us know if you're still sailing, if and where you sailed in college, if you
have taught others to sail.
If you are interested in participating in an Alumni Regatta in Spring 2007, let
us know.

Please pass this along to anyone that may have sailed in high school in the
greater Boston area. Thanks.
