Many teams sporting their new team uniforms looked sharp including St.
Johns College, American University, UMD and William and Mary.
15 races sailed in great southerly breezes up to 18-20 knots. Courses
were W3,W4 and Triangle finish to windward.
Thanks very much to all the coaches who heard protests: Dan Winters,
Mike Callahan, Geoff Becker, Danny Pletsch and a special thanks to John
Vandemoer who finished up as regatta chair Sat afternoon.
Excellent work to the SMC undergrads who ran the mark boats and RC.
Daily Chairs were Lauren Durfee (Sat) and Alex Steele (Sun).
Congratulations to Georgetown University for winning the 2006 SMC Open
for the Senators Cup!
Hampton University and ODU qualify for the War Memorial as the top two
southern regional teams not yet qualified.
