SUNY Maritime College is accepting applications for the position of Head Coach of the Varsity Intercollegiate Sailing Team.
Located in Throggs Neck, NY, SUNY Maritime College is a member of the Mid-Atlantic Intercollegiate Sailing Association (MAISA) which competes within the Intercollegiate Sailing Association (ICSA). This is a full-time 10 month position with the start date approximately January 15th 2007. Responsibilities will include running daily practice, serving as principle race officer for home events, traveling to away regattas, recruiting and helping to oversee the maintenance of our fleet of dinghies. We are looking for an individual with a college sailing background and coaching experience at the junior and/or college level. The individual should be able to use motivational methods of coaching as well as conduct themselves in a professional manner at all times. SUNY Maritime College offers a competitive salary with June and July off.
