The 2006 Webb Regatta
Christopher Newport University – October 21 & 22
Regatta Conditions: Saturday – sunny with good winds of 4 to 14 from the
southwest to Northwest.
Sunday - Light rain for most of the day with winds of 5 to 10 from the
southeast to the Southwest.
We had good sailing weather with shifty winds. No protests and quite a few
penalty turns.
Courses: The “CNU Box” featuring windward w/port rounding, reach
w/starboard rounding, windward w/starboard rounding, reach w/starboard
rounding, and a
run to the finish. 32 races were run in all with 16 in each division of 13 to
21 minutes in length. One fleet each of FJs and 420s with an exchange of
fleets after race eight.
