On Saturday there were sustained winds over 20 knots and gusts over 40kts with heavy rain, forcing a postponement. At 10am, a meeting with a representative from each team was held to discuss canceling the regatta as the forecast for Sunday looked grim; W WINDS 25 TO 30 KT WITH GUSTS UP TO 45 KT. SEAS 3 TO 5 FT. The decision was made to cancel the regatta as sailable conditions were not on the horizon.
