All:
The Army 2-on-2 Regatta scheduled for this weekend (23-25 March) is cancelled due to the ice still on the river. There is 2" or thicker Floe and Brash all the way up to Troy, with up to 80% coverage. This condition has prevented us from getting docks or boats in the river, and would pose significant safety risks to sailors in addition to poor racing conditions. We regret having to cancel, but save a major heat wave - looks like we will be locked in ice through the weekend. Brian Doyle Coach, Army Sailing v/r, BRIAN J.
