All,

First of all, many thanks to those involved individuals who have already
responded to my request for Exam and Graduation Schedules. I was truly amazed
at
how many people responded so quickly. Come on the rest of you!

Second, as you should know by now, the ICSA has mandated Semis for the Coeds
and they will be held on Week #13 which means we have to move the War to
Week#11 to keep Week# 12 for a make up.

This means we are losing some weekends in the spring which will call for
major changes and some difficulty in getting the team races the Super Powers
want while still keeping our six qualifiers on the best possible weekends with
concerns for the weather.

I have two questions to which I would like your responses.

Ann has suggested the possibility that the Prosser could be held on Week#14,
after the ICSA Semis. This would free up the schedule to keep the Central
and North #1 Qualifiers late in the season. I want to keep those two
qualifiers
on Week #9 if at all possible. However, we cannot have both the #1 and #2
qualifiers both up against major events. If the Trux moves to Week #10 and the
Prosser is on Week #9, that just won't do. If the Prosser can be run later,
this would solve that problem.

The second question is for all teams. How many teams can and will schedule
events on Week #13, Week#14 and Week #15. The Engineers Cup and the Drexel Open
are now on Weeks #15 and #14 respectively. We at CNU had never done these,
but we had determined that we could this year, but no opening appeared in
time. If we can move some other lower level events to those weekends, we can
ease
the bind. The Delaware Spring, the Greater NY Invite, the William & Mary
Colony Cup, and even the Grant Regatta might be candidates for such a move.

May I hear from you with your thoughts on the advisability of these
suggestions.

Again, my thanks to all of you who are staying on top of things during the
summer - and have a good one.

Dan
