REGATTA HIGHLIGHTS:
Saturday: 5 races in the morning in a shifty southwesterly at 5-8
knots. 7 Races in the afternoon with the sea breeze building from the
south to 14-17 knots. All courses windward leeward twice around with a
gate averaging 18-20 minutes. 2 breakdowns filed, one awarded, 1
redress disallowed. One Ocean County team was a no-show.
First three races today sailed in a shifty southwesterly from NYC again
today. After the lunch break the sea breeze was in at 8-12 from the
south. Two protests filed and dropped. One redress filed and dropped.
Congratulations to the top 5 who advance to the Carl Van Duyne
Regatta-MAISA Men's Single-handeds hosted this year by the Naval Academy
on September 29-30.
