The format for the first MAISA Executive Committee meeting of Fall, 2007 will
be via conference call. This will be next Tuesday, September 18 at 8 p.m.
If anyone wishes to be included in the meeting, contact me directly and I'll
forward the phone# and access code.
The call will be via "Standard Service". Each caller will be responsible
for the long distance toll charge if applicable for his/her plan.
Items on the agenda are as follows:
OLD BUSINESS:
1. UPDATE OF 2008-09 SINGLES PROPOSAL
a) Cornell
Boathouse construction started?
NEW BUSINESS
1. Proposals for hosting 2008 MAISA Annual Meeting late in
January.
2. Navy proposes that the 2007 Keelboat Promotional (scheduled on the
same week-end as MAISA Sloops be moved to the following week-end
(Oct 27-28). This is War Memorial/Henry Luce week-end.
3. 2008 RACING SCHEDULE
a) Proposals for hosting National Semi-Finals on week-end #13
(4/26-27/08). Needed in NOR form with as much information
as possible.
b) Propose finalization of date of Admiral's Cup to spring
week-end #12.
c) Propose 18 for Van Duyne to match ICSA Singlehandeds.
4 qualifiers at Laser qualifier North and South. For 2007?
d) Move Van Duyne back to week-end $6?
4. Proposal to have a form requirement for teams which wish to host
new regattas or those who are having problems with the ones
on the schedule.
5. Proposal for New No Show/Withdraw Rules for MAISA.
6. Discussion-- How do we get more women's teams involved?
