MAISA, Currently there are three teams signed up for the Washington College Women's Regatta on April 5-6, 2008 (WAC, GTN, HWS). This regatta has always had low interest, which is surprising since it could easily be an opportunity for smaller women's teams to compete and gain experience in a less intimidating environment.
Unfortunately, due to the low attendance, I feel it is necessary to ask that if any teams wish to attend this event they add it before March 14, 2008. If the participation doesn't grow in size before then the regatta will be dropped from the 2008 spring schedule. Washington College is also hosting a Crew regatta on Sat April 5th, so if the WAC Women's were to be run the report time on Sat would be 10:30 or possibly 11:00. It would be a shame to drop this regatta from the spring schedule, and because of the lack of attendance in this regatta's history I think that Washington College might consider removing it from the schedule for future years as well.
