The 2008 Grant Regatta April 12 & 13, 2008 The 2008 Leroy Grant Regatta will be hosted jointly by William & Mary and Christopher Newport at the CNU Sailing Center. The event will be open on a first-to-sign-up basis for eight of those teams that fail to qualify for the America Trophy Regatta. If either William & Mary or Christopher Newport qualify for the America, they will not field a team for this event unless fewer than eight teams sign up. As with all Christopher Newport events, The Leroy Grant will feature: 1. Eight Teams 2. A fleet of FJs and a fleet of 420s with both A and B divisions sailing at all times. 3. Two full rotations in each division (32 Races) - four races on Saturday morning, six on Saturday afternoon and six on Sunday morning for both divisions. We have never failed to accomplish this goal by keeping wasted time to a minimum. 4. Free lunch on Saturday. 5. Early departure on Sunday. 6. Assuming that we can get a sponsor, T Shirts provided for all team members. If you have any questions, please respond by e-mail to this address ([EMAIL PROTECTED]). Our teams look forward to your hosting a first class event for those teams looking to advance their position in the 2009 draft. Remember: Only eight teams will be accepted. So, if you plan to attend, e-mail us at [EMAIL PROTECTED] (mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]) and the Graduate Secretary at [EMAIL PROTECTED] (mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]) as soon as your final qualifier is finished.
