Saturday: High Winds on Cayuga Lake resulted in racing to be canceled for
the day. Teams waited until 1pm when it was apparent that the wind was not
going to lighten up and in fact would simply continue to build. Sunday's
forecast is for the wind to shift to the West without bringing quite as much
breeze. We will keep our fingers crossed for less wind and sailable
conditions for tomorrow.

Sunday: The day started off with a light southerly allowing for 2 A
Division races to be completed until the wind shut off for a brief 20
minutes or so and completely shifted around to the NW. THe NW breeze came
in steady right away at about 8-10 mph and increased from then on up to 20
mph. There was enough breeze and time to complete 7 races per division and
the fleet did a great job keeping it together in the windy conditions. Four
protests were filed and heard resulting in two DSQ's along with one redress
request which was denied. Thank you to Columbia Coach Will Brown and SUNY
Coach Baris Aytman for hearing the protests and redress requests.
Congratulations to Columbia and Fordham for qualifying to compete in the
War Memorial hosted by HWS over Halloween Weekend.
