You don't put patch numbers in through the controller editor, you change them in the properties of the track unless you're changing the program later in the track. It's pretty simple -- if the sounds aren't right then something isn't set up right, and either the Casio or the Samick is accessing a non GM compatible bank of sounds. Get the sound lists for both instruments and compare them and you'll know just what is going on.
