you need to eliminate some registry entries to clear up some midi ports. Windows has still got the no more tan 10 midi ports limitation, and you should also uninstall the ones you are not using. I would recommend some kkind of midi driver utility that will let you do this and sabe you the hastle of editting the registry. The korg one, as much as everyone hates korg, does the job surprisingle well of letting you remove and cathegorize your midi ports.
