QWS seems to default to 4/4 for its view until you zoom to the correct
number of beats per measure. So go to the view menu, go to zoom, and hit
enter. Now it'll auto-populate with the time signature, and if you hit enter
then you'll get things in the right number of beats. Then you can go to the
end, press control-end, and hit delete. Note that if there's not a full
measure in a track the final partial measure will be in the end of track
vertical bar marker, so you'll need to select it to delete it. This is a
little different from most sequencers (and most audio systems as well) so it
takes a bit of getting used to.
I'd classify its defaulting to 4 beats a measure as a bug, as it's not using
the current time signature for its default.
