I don't think there is anything is standard MakeMaker which will generate
-Bstatic -lmysqlclient -Bdynamic -lz
where two -l options are separated by a -Bxxxx flag.
IIRC OTHERLDFLAGS is too early if libaries I specified at that point
on command line there are no references to resolve and nothing gets included.
