I ask primarily because it defaults to 'ld' in MM_Unix.pm and 'cc' seems a far reach from 'ld'...
Anyway, i think ill stick to worrying about Win32 stuff until I get a linux box set up. (/me feels like a stupid Win32 luser on this list most times :-)
