As long as I was poking at the META.yml code I figured I'd do the other oft requested features. The META.yml file generated by MakeMaker is now conformant to the 1.1 spec. All required fields are generated. name, version, abstract, license, generated_by, authored_by, distribution_type, requires and meta-spec. http://module-build.sourceforge.net/META-spec-new.html
Additionally there is a new LICENSE field so you can specify your module's license like in Module::Build. Unlike MB, MakeMaker makes no checks on what you put into that field because I'm not particularly interested in maintaining a duplicate list of licenses. This will all be in 6.31.
