At this point, I have it working so Build.PL still works correctly and Makefile.PL _apparently_ builds the XS files correctly, but the resulting .so doesn't load (I guess I'm going to have to install a debugging Perl to get to the bottom of things). I do not get any errors during the build (and I just compared the resulting .c file from xsubpp and they are identical for both Makefile.PL and Build.PL generation, so I know the typemap and includes are correct).
