TAKE A GAL FISHING A report sponsored by the American Sportfishing Association says that 10 percent of the 35 million American adults over the age of 16 who fish are female. As fa r as I'm concerned, that's a much lower percent than it ought to be, and could be. There are good reasons why this is the way it is, but one of those reasons is NOT because fishing is only for men. So, with Mother's Day coming up in a few weeks, and given that one of those female anglers won our Saskatchewan trip contest, I thought it was time to debunk a few of the issues that exist about women in fishing, and to re-emphasize what a great way fishing is to spend quality time with your entire family.
