Halo...saya juga suka mancing ikan Carp ini.
Bentuknya hampir mirip dengan ikan mas di Indonesia cuma warnanya
putih/silver.
Kalo dibandingkan dengan ikan jenis lainnya yang lebih populer di US,
carp mungkin salah satu ikan yg fighting powernya paling kuat.
Menurut penelitian yg pernah saya baca (entah dimana udah lupa), ikan
carp ini termasuk salah satu ikan yg tingkat intellegensia nya tertinggi
walau
otaknya cuma segede kacang polong.

Kalo engga awas joran yg disamber carp bisa dibawa masuk air! Kawan
saya pernah ada yg ngalamin seperti ini. Kalau mancing di sungai carp
biasanya manfaatin arus buat ngelawan kita, dia kadang2 malah bisa
manfaatin batu2an, akar, batang pohon didalam air buat mutusin tali pancing
kita! Pokoknya seru deh mancing ikan ini.
Gampang, murah dan meriah!
Gampang soalnya ikan ini ada di hampir disetiap danau dan sungai disini.
Murah karena umpannya cuma nightcrawler/cacing biasa.
Meriah karena ikan ini engga pernah nyerah....pokoknya selama masih kuat
dia bakal ngelawan terus.
Carp yang paling besar yg pernah saya tangkap panjangnya 33 inch, butuh
waktu 20 menit buat ngangkat.
Memang benar pemancing2 disini engga suka sama carp ini karena dianggap
menghambat pertumbuhan species ikan2 lainnya yg lebih populer seperti bass,
walleye, trout dll.
Kebanyakan pemancing disini kalo dapet ikan carp biasanya cuma
dibuang/dimatiin,
jarang ada yg mau bawa pulang.
