The Paul Arden Fly Fishing Experience Mullet fishing Hi Dave I have done *very little* of this. But I have had a few mullet on small wets. However I know a number of anglers who actually spend a fair amount of time fishing for them. Some of these guys recommend small white flies (I think they are imitating, and indeed responsible for, a local and expansive hatch of bread). Others use small green weedy coloured flies. I vaguely recollect having a conversation with Malcolm Greenhalgh at the Chatsworth Angling Fair last May, where *he* recommended just such a colour. It should be pointed out that there was alcohol involved. I do remember hook size 20 being banded about, but whether this was in relation to the mullet, some other fish, or indeed a completely different subject I can't say for sure. But I fancy it was the mullet, and if not the mullet then some other fish, but at any rate you have to go small for mullet. They are fussy like that. Paul.
