Wahhhhhhhh ......... gawat nih semua pada minta maaf....bagaimana dengan gue ????? selama di milist gue paling gak suka guyon(berani sumpah pocong deh ) cuma agak sering saja ,dan untuk itu gue gak mau minta maaf tapi minta ampun saja deh........... dibawah ini ada tulisan tentang backbone,dan beberapa pertanyaan saya sebagai orang awam:
Locating the Backbone of a Fishing Rod Rod Crafting Techniques What causes the Backbone?? Every rod has a Backbone, it is the rods spine, the strongest part of the blank. Some rods have several Backbones, you must pick the most dominate Backbone, this is the one that is most prominent in the selecting process. The Backbone is created by several means, the main cause is in the construction stage of the blank. It is caused by either a slightly bent mandrel. Usually these bends are visible to the naked eye (look down along the blank). Uneven construction of the material is another cause for Backbones. In the case of a fiberglass rod the glass cloth is wrapped around a mandrel and soaked in resin, the Backbone tends to correspond to where the glass cloth overlaps the start point putting an extra layer of glass cloth in that line. How to locate the Backbone?? Under load (bent) the blank will twist or rotate to try and place this Backbone to the 'top'. If you hold the blank out in front of you (from the tip) and place the blank under load (with one palm on the tip and the other down the blank approximately one third the overall distance of the blank) you will find the blank will tend to rotate itself to align the Backbone over the top of the curve. Do this several time to locate the most prominent Backbone. Mark the blank so you can refer to it in assembling of the rod. Where do you place the Backbone?? On a rod that the Guides/Runners are required to be placed on the under side of a blank (spinning/fly) the Backbone should be placed directly opposite the Guides/Runners (top of the rod). On a rod that requires the Guides/Runners to run along the top of a rod (jig/troll/game) the Back bone should be placed directly under feet of the Guides/Runners. Pertanyaan Pemakaian istilah backbone:apasih backbone??: menurut tulisan awal,backbone merupakan bagian terkuat dari suatu rod,tetapi melihat dari cara dia mencari lokasi backbone nya,menurut saya yang dia dapat bukan lokasi backbone tetapi merupakan sumbu simetri nya,di mana rod tidak berputar lagi pada waktu memikul suatu bending force,dan sumbu simetri ini memang bisa lebih dari satu.
