The Modulure has taken the relatively basic design of a hard body lure
and made it into something truly special. The Modulure* is a modular
based lure designed for chasing big fish. The lure is comprised of three
distinct parts: 1) the base is a skeleton of acid-proof steel with the
shape of a robust, ten-inch-long fish; 2) a color/pattern card is placed
on each side of the skeleton, creating the illusion of a real fish; 3)
finally, two transparent plastic shells (made of thermo-injected,
highly-durable LEXAN*- polycarbon) are placed on each side of the steel
skeleton and fastened to the rest of the lure with a bolt. This unique
design allows fishermen to choose from both, a selection of cards of
varying colors and patterns and different colored plastic shells, to
quickly and easily alter the appearance of the lure by "mixing and
matching" different cards and shells. The Modulure can be trolled at
speeds of one-half knot to well over 22 knots - swimming at varying
depth and with differing actions based on speed. Each Modulure features
2 - 300lb. Sampo ball bearing swivels and 2 - 10/0 7691S Mustad hooks.
