   Have you seen http://manual.mantisbt.org/ 
manual.configuration.source.control.integration.php ?

   This covers the opposite integration.

   You should be able to hook into the tracker using the function  
overrides (see http://manual.mantisbugtracker.com/ 
manual.customizing.mantis.custom.functions.php ).
