I have changed back to a hosted server that is running Linux with
MySQL This is similar to the setup that I successfully installed
Mantis 1.0.8 on previously

However the install.php script gets stuck with "Attempting to connect to
database as admin" There are no errors, all the pre-install checks are
green, but the script doesnt seem to be able to connect. I tried
1.08 and 1.1.1 with the same result.

Can I set up the database tables myself in PHPMyAdmin?
