Dear list,

I'm working on a short 15th century ms. that in three places mentions small aspects of Virgil's descriptions of Juno and Neptune, and one place refers to his ability to calm the waves. Since I am only beginning my reading of Virgil, is there any place in the corpus besides Aeneid from which the following descriptions might be taken? And with whom exactly does the account of his power "mulcere fluctus" originate?

Thanks in advance for any suggestions, even far-flung connections!

Ross Caldwell
