Let us not forget Alvarez! Mine is the 'new edition' of 1855, translated by Geoghegan and edited with additions by Wheeler, but going back to the work of the De institutione Grammatic, Libri III of Emanual Alvarez, S.J.,who died at Lisbon in 1582.
