Does anyone know of any studies that look at the intertextual relationship between the Eclogues and Greek epigram, especially as transmitted through Meleager's Garland? I'm interested in the fragmentation of the poetic voice throughout the Eclogue book. A relationship between Virgil's 'book' and Hellenistic epigram 'books' and Meleager's anthology would itself fragment the common intertextual focus on Theocritus.
If anyone could help, that would be great. Richard Fletcher ----------------------------------------------------------------------- To leave the Mantovano mailing list at any time, do NOT hit reply.
