Hi,
this should be interesting to us (thanks to Cameron for letting us
know) as we rely more and more on Context documents and already pimped
WM-Context to allow for things we were missing (especially connecting
to WFS). This will be fixed when moving to the new OWS Context. Please
check what is going on, if you have comments, please send them to this
list.
The possibility to add WFS is welcome. It's nice just to include a GML
styled with SLD into a context.
And ContextCollection are indeed powerful, I was wondering if it was a
good idea to use a context collection for Mapbender as well, to store
both overview and mapframe1 (and possibly additional maps).
Is there a spec for OWS context? I could only find WMC 1.1 on the
mentioned sites.
Thanks for sharing
Christoph

A few days back, Jody asked for some Context and OWS Context examples,
muttering something about updating context support in UDig. I've CCed
a couple of other lists that may be interested. Jody, feel free to
forward onto the UDig list.
Currently, the authoritative source for OWS Context is Tom Kralidis's
site which links to the schema and examples at:
http://www.opengeospatial.org/standards/wmc
<http://www.opengeospatial.org/standards/wmc>
Below are examples from Mapbuilder which can be browsed or downloaded
with SVN. They should validate against the spec, but I have not checked.
There has been little talk about ContextCollection which is a simple
but effective way to list Context documents. It would be a useful
format to be returned from a Catalog query.
