This new feature allows you to split a line into segments with another
line. You need exactly two geometries in your digitizing workspace, two
lines. The lines should intersect. The second line is used to cut the
first into segments, just hit the "scissors" button. Then all segments are
inserted as new features, both lines are removed. The new segments have
inherited all attributes from the first line apart from the fid.
