Hello, I also think it is to far to go there for lot of us.
There will be a developer sprint on the FOSSGIS on the 8th of April in Heidelberg where hopefully a lot of you can join. We are discussing the Roadmap 2011 Q1 at the moment [1]. It would make sense to make a dev sprint in january, february or march to get a stable 2.7, to get ready for 3.0 and to get Mapbender on the OSGeoLive 4.5. Maybe it is more realisti to make a dev sprint in Bonn or again in the Linuxhotel.
