Hello For my example to visualize moving buses of my city at the beginning I also was thinking to use the TimeSeries example, but for moving objects this widget is not adaptable, because the rendering engine must produce continuously images with the bus on different location. Therefore I started to implement my own extension: as well on client side as well on server side.
I only wanted to allude that I created a small prototype, capable to visualize and query spatio-temporal information. Therfore it is possible to use as well MovingObjectStatus as well TimeSlice elements and if I understood the intention of Christopher this is exaclty what he needs. I am using a spatio-temporal System called Secondo, capable to store moving objects and to do particular spatio-temporal queries like: truckA passes regionB, truckA intersect truckB, etc.. That system is interacting with my system that maps their representation to GML and I wrote some extension in Mapbuilder (even if it is not complete and needs to be refactored) to render a collection of TimeSlices. At the moment I am writing a paper, hoping to be accepted in ACMGIS, therefore I am a very busy.
