Yes, this has been seen before and I think there is a JIRA bug out on it. From memory, this is an issue with the WZ Graphics renderer which you are probably still using when selecting features. It should be fixed by using SVG/VML renderer instead. This is what we are moving toward on the mapbuilder-ol branch. I'm not sure if the FeatureSelection has been moved across to SVG/VML yet.
